Since 2010, Outdoor Media Works has specialized in experiential marketing, working alongside the biggest festivals and events in Canada that host thousands of people every year.
The company offers a full spectrum of experiential marketing services, from sponsorship advertising to product sampling and content creation. They pride themselves on being an imagination factory, always coming up with creative new ideas for their clients and working under the motto: if you can dream it, we can make it happen!
For years, Outdoor Media Works has promoted upcoming advertising and sponsorship opportunities to their prospective clients using marketing decks in PDF format. Although these decks were somewhat personalized with the recipients’ company logo, the process was quite tedious and limited in its ability to measure the interest of potential clients.
The Outdoor Media Works website was also becoming outdated since it was not responsive to mobile devices and ineffective at demonstrating the vast potential of reaching large audiences with experiential marketing. This was the perfect opportunity for a complete solution that would address both the website and inefficient sales process.
Responsive Web Design
Vicara Marketing built a new website for Outdoor Media Works using the popular open-source platform WordPress and a premium theme to manage the layout. The project began by converting the existing WordPress website into a multisite network to facilitate the development and eventual launch process.
The WordPress platform was chosen for its ease of use, versatile features and integration with third-party extensions. A security plugin was installed to secure the websites by stopping automated attacks and protecting against plugin vulnerabilities.
Since experiential marketing is all about creating an emotional connection, full page video backgrounds were setup to provide examples of how Outdoor Media Works has helped brands reach massive audiences at live events. A powerful WordPress plugin was utilized to create these video backgrounds that begin playback on page-load and include engaging transitions.
Elementor was utilized as the preferred page builder to create and manage all the content of the website. Page templates were created during the project to facilitate the design process. Additional plugins were installed and configured to setup the under construction page, create countdown timers and manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO) settings.
Vicara Marketing has helped Outdoor Media Works improve the effectiveness of its online presence with a redesigned website that clearly showcases the value of experiential marketing. The website has now become a new marketing tool that enables the company to promote branding opportunities at upcoming events for potential customers.
